Indulge your palate in the rich notes of black tea, the succulent sweetness of apricot, and the crisp freshness of pear. Duromina captivates with its harmonious blend that reflects the unique terroir of the Jimma region.
Duromina's story is one of transformation. A decade ago, the USAID's Technoserve project brought a revolution to Agaro, turning a region once known for less-than-stellar Grade 5 sundried naturals into a powerhouse of quality coffee. Duromina, under the leadership of the Kata Muduga cooperative union, became a symbol of this positive change, showcasing the potential of Ethiopian coffee.
Technoserve's initial investment and the dedicated leadership within Duromina and Kata Muduga have led to immaculate processing. After the mechanical removal of most fruit and mucilage, the coffee seeds soak overnight in fiberglass tanks, ensuring a perfectly clean surface before the eight-plus days on drying beds. This meticulous process allows Duromina to consistently exhibit its natural potential year after year.
Remarkably, Duromina not only starts the season on a stellar note but continues to evolve and peak in perfection at ten to twelve months off harvest. Its brilliance lasts long after, offering a coffee experience that stands the test of time. Duromina is not just a coffee; it's a journey through time, capturing the essence of Ethiopian elegance.
